         AGA's 2018 PDT Event

MIL, once again, had a major presence at the Association
of Government Accountants’ (AGA) annual Professional
Development Training (PDT) conference. This year’s four-day
event was held July 22 – 25 at the Orlando World Center Marriott
in Orlando, FL. The 2018 PDT keynote speaker was Shannon
Huffman Polson, author of The Grit Project, and one of the first
women to fly Apache helicopters in the U.S. Armed Forces. Ms.
Polson offered her unique perspective on leadership in dynamic
         environments.
This year, PDT event organizers welcomed approximately 1,800
attendees and 40 exhibitors to the educational and networking
event. PDT attendees enjoyed the opportunity to learn about
what’s up and coming in the field, while simultaneously earning
up to 24 CPE hours of training.
Along with serving as an event sponsor, MIL also contributed
the subject matter expertise of VP John Roland, Sr., CGFM,
who served as the moderator for PDT Session 107, The New Tax
         Reform is Here!

The 2019 PDT event is already scheduled for July 21 – 24 in New
Orleans, so make sure to put it on your calendar!
