On the road again
As more MIL staff get mobile following the easing of COVID-19 travel restrictions, it’s a good idea to review some travel best practices
to keep safe as you travel for work, vacation, or just move around more in your local communities. Remember to—
» Provide a work cell phone contact number. If possible, do not » Keep your doors locked at all times

Focused on diversity, equity, and inclusion
Thank you to everyone who participated in our 12 DE&I employee focus groups. The next step will
be an in-depth and comprehensive review and reporting on the data gathered from VP feedback,
the company-wide survey, and focus group discussions. The resulting report will provide analysis
and recommendations for how to achieve our strategic DE&I goals. We look forward to sharing the
results with you!
Senator Scott lauds MIL as a Top South Carolina Workplace
In a May 21st letter to MIL’s Charleston office, Senator Tim Scott recently acknowledge MIL’s
selection as a 2021 Top Workplaces Winner for South Carolina. In his message, South Carolina’s
junior senator recognized MIL’s “tireless work in the community” and noted that the “well deserved
distinction is a testament to your dedication.” He also stated that MIL’s efforts “serve as an example
for all those you meet each day.” In short, Senator Scott recognized that MIL’s Charleston staff are
People Making a Difference for South Carolina.
