nodes, are usually scattered all over the world.
Although some are known while others choose to be
anonymous, what matters is that they can maintain
the blockchain and add new information to it by
coming to an agreement through a system called a
          consensus algorithm.

A consensus algorithm is a system through which computers or
nodes which maintain a distributed network determine how and
when new information is added to a blockchain.

          Blockchains are decentralised, immutable and
          transparent.

They are decentralised in the sense that they are not
owned or controlled by a single entity or cooperation
          but by a community.

Blockchains are immutable because their transactions
cannot be reversed. Any transaction on a blockchain
becomes permanent and cannot be altered, edited or
deleted. This gives blockchain a type of integrity that
is not possible with centralized databases.

Transactions on the EOS blockchain are transparent
