The first blockchain built with the EOS.IO software
is the EOS blockchain or the EOS Mainnet.

The EOS.IO software has been used to create other
blockchains such as Worbli, Telos, BOS, WAX, etc.
These blockchains are like sisters to the EOS
blockchain because they were created using the same
code as the EOS.IO code.

They are like modified clones of the EOS blockchain.
By adding features that are not in EOS or removing
features that are not needful to them, they will seek to
improve on EOS or provide values and services that
cannot be met by EOS.

One blockchain cannot do it all. The idea that one
blockchain can contain all the functionalities a
decentralized application needs to run is gradually
phasing away and a new, more inclusive ideology, is
bearing fruits amongst blockchain developers. The
idea is that some blockchains can specialize in certain
features and be suitable for certain purposes.
