This ideological transformation stems from the realization that
there’s simply too much data, too many unique developer needs,
and too many risks associated with one platform
                    accommodating everything. (Chainlink).

EOS sister-chains will also house many decentralised
applications. They are necessary for the welfare of
the entire EOS.IO ecosystem because they provide
          alternative platforms and features.

The EOS.IO software is sort of like a web 3.0, a
global supercomputer that will process and
          authenticate data.

The beauty of the EOS.IO software is that it creates
a platform upon which people can easily build on.
Before now, if you wanted to build a dApp
(Decentralized Application), you had to build a
blockchain and an ecosystem for the dapp or you can
build on existing platforms which were unscalable
and inconvenient. However, the EOS.IO software has
made it easier to build dApps by providing a solid
foundation and a framework that developers can copy
and finetune to meet their needs.
The creator of the EOS.IO software is Block.one.
