The long-awaited day finally arrived - the day of the poetry competition
selection. The competitors exhibited their abilities in reciting poetry
individually.
It was Julian's turn, who is a subscriber and a poetry champion. As per his
custom, he performed the recitation of poetry proficiently. Applause ensues
upon his recitation of poetry. As he descended from the platform, his gaze
intersected with Maura's. He formed a significant smile by lifting one corner of
his lips. Maura exhaled sharply and disregarded Julian's demeanor.
After a brief interval, it was Maura's opportunity to recited the poem. She strode
with assurance towards the platform. Subsequently, she recited penning
verses synchronized with instrumental melodies. She regards all those who
came before her as being like stone, as her mother had advised. She recited
the poem very well. Additionally, she manipulated her countenance. She
appeared to be wholly composed and devoid of any signs of anxiety.
A few moments later, a vibrant round of applause erupted abruptly after
completing the poem's final stanza. Maura let out a sigh of relief. She
experienced a sense of satisfaction upon observing the reactions of the
spectators and the sound of their applause.
