Tie back long hair
Remove any jewellery or accessories
that may get in the way
Keep your fingernails short and
clean and cover any sores or cuts
with clean, waterproof dressings
 Use deodorant, especially for
strenuous services and on hot days
Avoid wearing strong perfume or
aftershave
Never arrive for a service smelling of
cigarette smoke.
Unacceptable Attire Includes:

Leggings worn as trousers
•
Thongs, sandals, high-heeled shoes,
reusable over-shoe covers and
gumboots
•
Short skirts or shorts (no shorter
than just above the knee)
•
Tops that are tight, short or revealing
(such as deep necklines, backless
tops, halter-neck tops, midriff tops
or singlets)
•
Offensive or graphic prints, slogans
or images
•
Dangly earrings, bangles or
necklaces that could be a safety risk.
If you’re not sure, keep it simple or
check with your Coordinator.
Identification Badge
Your Just Better Care photo ID badge
easily identifies you, and assists
customers to learn your first name.
Wearing your ID badge is mandatory
and will include your name, a recent
photo of you and your staff code, and
must be kept with you at all times.
At orientation you will be supplied
with a needlestick and body fluid
exposure follow-up procedure, which
should be attached to the back of your
