11. Identify the teacher mentoring activities included in the schoolwide plan. For
example, new or inexperienced teachers are given support from an assigned master
teacher.
New/Novice teachers are assigned a Master teacher as a co-teacher and mentor. All
ILT members are assigned a group of teachers to support.
12. Describe how all professional development is “sustained and ongoing.”
Professional development is sustained and ongoing through the monitoring from
the Instructional Leadership Team (ILT). Teachers meet weekly to continue to
collaborate and grow in their knowledge of developing lessons that focus on
student learning. Grade level Meeting: Teachers meet weekly to analyze standards
previously taught the week prior for student mastery. They are required to bring
samples of student work and ideas that will provide additional information in
ensuring that they are creating lessons that maximize student achievement and
success. Data Meeting: Teachers meet weekly to plan for standards-aligned lessons
and assignments deciding what students are to learn and how will they know if they
learned the standards Teachers meet with parents quarterly to provide them with
information vital to extending learning to the home. Parents are given the
opportunity to ask questions that will aid them in helping their child with skills and
strategies that are being taught in the classroom.
13. Identify the strategies in the schoolwide plan that support and assist students
in transitioning from one grade level to the next. For example, preschool preparation for
Kindergarten and/or eighth grade transition to high school and/or high school to college/
work force.
1- PreK to Kindergarten: "Welcome to Kindergarten" Orientation (originally
scheduled for May, postponed until August due to COVID-19 and new registration
process in 2020) where children will get to know their classmates, meet their
teachers, and participate in some introductory kindergarten activities. 2-
Kindergarten to 5th Grade: "SWAP" Night get acquainted activities are presented to
newcoming parents to present specific grade level curriculum. 3- 5th Grade to 6th
Grade: Middle School Principals are invited to Princeton School to share their
school's mission and curriculum 4- Student Planners: Students will work with
teachers to keep up with assignments and teach organization and preparedness 5-
Open House: Students and parents are invited to come to the school to tour
