evidence-based social-emotional learning (SEL) competences in the CASEL
framework. This is implemented by all faculty and staff to teach 21st century
leadership and life skills to students and to create a culture of student
empowerment based on the ideology that every student can be a leader. Through a
variety of programs and assemblies, students' needs are met. These events include,
but not limited to, Drug Awareness programs, Health - Stay Well- programs, and
Violence Prevention Programs.-Safety teams coordinate monthly drills to prepare
students to respond appropriately in response to life-threatening situations.
