REDEMPTIVE PLAN OF
GOD IN TITHING
“Bring all the tithes (the whole tenth of your income) into the
storehouse, that there may be food in my house, and prove Me
now by it, says the Lord of hosts, if I will not open the windows of
heaven for you and pour out a blessing, that there shall be no room
enough to contain it…”
Oswald J. Smith, who was pastor of the People’s Church in Toronto,
Canada for many years, gave a great testimony that demonstrated
the Power of Tithing.
During the Great Depression, hundreds of men came to his office
every day to ask for financial help from the church. He said they
gave aid to hundreds, but that he always checked with each man
whether they had been faithful to pay their tithe to God when they
had an income. He reported that in all his experience, no man who
came for help had ever been a faithful tither.
