Page 135 - The Ultimate Guidebook for Teens with Food Allergies
P. 135
Conclusion
This book has covered so much on situations, emotions and what living with allergies is truly like. The
stories and advice throughout share positives and negatives for living with food allergies. It’s not always
an easy road, but always remember that it’s a road that many have travelled successfully down before.
Stay confident, surround yourself with people who respect you and your allergies, and never take
chances with your allergies.
You know how to stay safe with your allergies. But with so many other influences like peer pressure,
anxiety, friends, assumptions, appearances and more affecting decisions, slip-ups can happen. Trust
your gut and know that you truly are an expert on living with a condition that even many adults don’t
know much about. Have faith in yourself and your abilities. Stay positive and define your allergies, don’t
let them define you.
