A CELADON JADE ‘DRAGON’
CYLINDRICAL BEAD
SPRING AND AUTUMN PERIOD (770-476 BC)
The tall bead of tapering form is carved at the sides in relief with
a motif of twelve sets of stylised dragons within ridged borders.
The semi-translucent stone is of a pale celadon tone with areas of
calcification.
