           Ming Dynasty
           Each modelled with upper-body dressing in green
           robes, supported on a tall cluster of ochre and green
           glazed ruyi clouds of inverted triangle form, the
           palms pressed together in reverent anjalimudra, the
           serene face below an ochre-glazed hairdress, with
           two tufts of hair tied into neat knots to the sides,
           the back of the body left unglazed with two drill
           holes for fitting, wood stands, the larger boy 36cm
           (14in) high; together with a sancai-glazed model of a
           horse, Ming dynasty, 28cm (11 3/8in) wide. (5).

           Modelled respectively as an altar coffer, a
           rectangular ‘recessed-leg’ altar table and a square   175
           table, their flat tops laden with various offerings
           of bread, fish, rooster, pork, fruit, stacks of rolls,
           funerary ewers and incense burners.

           Ming Dynasty
           The first depicting Zhenwu on a rockwork base, with   176
           a tortoise and entwined snake at his feet, wearing
           armoured flowing robes with a high-waisted belt;
           the second modelled as the Star God seated before
           a recumbent stag, the tall seat back with character
           roundels enclosing fu and lu within foliate borders.
           The taller 20.5cm (8 1/8in) high. (2).
