Each top gourd decorated with butterflies above a waisted
section of foliate patterned band, the two lower gourds
with alternating panels of river landscapes, mythical beasts,
flowering shrubs, auspicious objects and archaistic vessels,
divided by bands of galloping horses and floral scrolls, the
flaring neck painted with a hanging chime stone (‘qing’)
to each side, the foot with further foliate patterned bands,
hongmu wood stands. 30.5cm (12in) high. (4).

With ‘prunus and cracked ice’ bulbs on sections to the
slender flaring necks, the bodies enamelled with alternating
iron-red and blue flower heads borne on leafy stems below
ruyi collars and stiff-leaf lappets.

A RARE FAMILLE VERTE ‘CHILONG’ BOTTLE VASE
Chenghua six-character mark, Kangxi
Finely enamelled around the exterior with auspicious
symbols of the bajixiang on breaking green waves beside
a leaping iron-red carp, the shoulder applied with a purple- 262
grey-glazed archaistic kui dragon coiling around the tall
cylindrical neck. 21.3cm (8 3/8 in) high.
