A PALE GREEN JADE ‘GOOSE AND GOSLINGS’
BRUSHREST
18th century
Crisply carved as a goose swimming on a bed of
tumultuous waves, the wings and tail feathers finely
tucked into the body and detailed with plumage,
grasping a sprig of reed in its beak and flanked at
the front and rear by two small goslings, the stone of
even pale green tone flecked with faint icy and beige
inclusions.
