box, see two red lacquer boxes containing jades within a larger
treasure box, in the Qing Court Collection, illustrated in A Garland of
Treasures: Masterpieces of Precious Crafts in the Museum Collection,
Taipei, 2014, pp.169-170, nos. IV-79, and IV-82.

Each vessel of rectangular section with canted corners, the rounded
sides applied with rectangular panels depicting sprays of blossoming
lotus amidst foliate scrolls, the gilt-bronze body decorated with incised
designs of lotus scrolls below an everted rim incised with further lotus
scrolls and key-fret, all supported on four ruyi feet, with original liners.
Each 24.5 cm (9 6/8in) wide. (4).

The box enamelled around the exterior with colourful butterflies and
blossoming lotus borne on stylised flowering branches and geometric
designs, the cover inset with a white jade plaque carved with
reticulated designs of entwined lingzhi fungus, 6cm (2 3/8in) high. (2).
