A CREAM-GLAZED BLUE-SPLASHED BOWL
Tang Dynasty
With deep rounded sides rising from a short spreading foot to a flared
mouth, applied with a cream glaze splashed in blue falling in streaks
particularly to the exterior, where the glaze stops irregularly halfway
down the body exposing the fine pale biscuit. 10cm (4in) diam.

A LARGE PAINTED POTTERY THREE-PART ‘STUPA’ URN AND
COVER
Tang Dynasty
Boldly painted in slip with large flowerheads between a stylised lappet
band at the mouth and a simple band at the foot, the oviform vessel
surmounted by a slender tiered cover, all standing in a hollow conical
base decorated with moulded ridges and a wave border at the foot.
