A RARE GLASS-INLAID GILT-BRONZE BELT HOOK
Warring States/Han Dynasty
With chilong head hook, the sinuous arch of its neck
issuing from the open jaws of a horned mythical beast
with black glass eyes at the base of the convex shaft,
with further crawling chilong in shallow relief among three
turquoise beads, the reverse with circular boss.
19.7cm (7 7/8in) long.

Warring States to Han Dynasty
Comprising a long belt hook with geometric patterns
inlaid in gold, terminating with a beast head, 20.5cm (8in)
long; a gilt-bronze belt hook with bold mythical beast
design, 9cm (3 1/2in) long; a bronze cylindrical belt-hook
with traces of silver-wire inlay, 12.7cm (5in) long; and a
small elephant-shaped belt buckle inlaid with gold, 4cm
(1 1/2in) long.
