A LARGE YUEYAO GLOBULAR JAR
Han Dynasty/Three Kingdoms
Sturdily potted with a large globular body and stepped mouth rim,
applied with a pair of taotie handles, three horizontal ribs on the upper
half of the olive-green-glazed body dividing the glazed area into three
sections, the upper section with incised wave-pattern, the unglazed
lower body light brown. 35cm (12in) wide.

ATTENDANT
Northern Qi Dynasty
The globular jar potted with a straight neck and a slightly-spreading
foot, moulded to the exterior with a raised horizontal band dividing
the body into two registers, the high shoulder applied with three
lug handles, 18.5cm (7 2/8in) high; the figure modelled as a male
attendant with both hands at the chest as if to hold an implement,
wearing a belted tunic falling above the knees, 22cm (8 5/8in) high. (2).

3rd/4th century AD
Stoutly potted with pierced rectangular holes farming the fence,
accompanied by a pig standing four-square within, covered overall in
a pale green-grey glaze, fitted box, 11cm (4 2/8in) diam.; together with
a straw-glazed tilt hammer, a farming implement, Sui/Tang dynasty,
18cm (7in) wide. (3).
