           A SANCAI-GLAZED GLOBULAR TRIPOD JAR
           Tang Dynasty
           The vessel raised on three lion-paw legs, covered in a splashed
           glaze of green, dark and yellowish-amber arranged in stripes on the
           outcurved rim and falling in an irregular line down the body above the
           unglazed pale body. 21cm (8 2/8in) diam.

           AN UNUSUAL AMBER-GLAZED POTTERY ‘DUCK’ RHYTON
           CUP
           Tang Dynasty
           The curved horn-shaped cup tapering to a loop handle formed as a
           duck biting its own tail and wearing a collar issuing overlapping petals,
           the wings of the fowl with a fine grain pattern extending to a looser
           grain to the exterior covered overall in a rich amber glaze.
