           The hollow cylindrical shape inlaid in gold and silver
           with overlaid interlocking geometric designs of
           stylised phoenix, separated by a raised horizontal
           border above two small apertures to secure a pin,
           wood stand.

           A PAIR OF ORDOS BRONZE ‘WATER BUFFALO’
           BELT PLAQUES
           4th/3rd century BC
           Each rectangular reticulated plaque cast in shallow
           relief with a bushy two-horned beast standing four-
           square with lowered head, one looking to the right
           and with two loops applied to the back, the other
           looking to the left and cast with an original loop for
           fastening within the herringbone border and applied
           with one loop on the back.
           6cm (2 1/4in) wide. (2).
