A GILT-BRONZE FIGURE OF LU DONGBIN
AND THE WILLOW DEMON
MING DYNASTY, EARLY 17TH CENTURY
The rectangular stepped stand is surmounted by a standing figure
of Lu Dongbin, dressed in scholar's attire with a sword hanging
behind his back, with one arm firmly supported by willow demon.

SONG DYNASTY (960-1279)
The god of examinations is cast with a lively expression on his face
with his hair and celestial scarves billowing in the wind, holding
a brush in the right hand, and in the other an ingot. He is standing
on right foot with left foot kicked up.
