A LONGQUAN CELADON ‘LOTUS PETAL’ BOWL
SOUTHERN SONG DYNASTY (1127-1279)
The bowl is potted with deep, rounded sides, moulded and carved on the exterior with
overlapping petals rising from the foot, covered overall with a thick even glaze of pale sea-
green tone.
