A SMALL QINGBAI ‘CHILONG’ EWER
SOUTHERN SONG-YUAN DYNASTY (1127-1368)
The ewer is potted with a pear-shaped body, applied with a handle
in the form of a clambering chilong and a slightly curved spout,
covered on the exterior with a thick pale bluish-white glaze. The
interior and base are unglazed revealing the fine white body fired
to a faint orange colour.
