A WHITE JADE MUGHAL-STYLE JAR
QING DYNASTY, 17TH-18TH CENTURY
The globular vase is finely carved around the exterior with
acanthus plants between borders of leaf lappets, all below a slightly
flaring mouth rim. The vase is flanked to both sides with a pair
of handles in the form of a flower bud, and supported on a floral-
form foot. The semi-translucent stone is of a pale celadon colour.
It is set with a separately carved celadon jade filtering disc.
