QING DYNASTY, 19TH CENTURY
modelled in the form of a bamboo shoot emerging from
jagged rocks with lingzhi sprigs, carved to one face with
a standing crane and a small frog beneath a gnarled pine
tree, the side decorated with a cicada, the stone of a
mottled pale celadon tone with white inclusions and black
speckles

the polished stone naturalistically carved as a section
of a gnarled pine tree, detailed to both sides with knots
and branches laden with clusters of needles, the stone of
even pale celadon colour with white inclusions and subtle
black markings

the ruyi-shaped terminal carved in low-relief with a
gnarled branch issuing peaches, surmounted by a
phoenix grasping in its beak a further sprig of peaches,
the shaft adorned with an elongated branch of finger
citrons emerging from rockworks to the base, the
polished stone of an even celadon tone with light russet
inclusions
