A BRONZE LIBATION CUP, JUE
QING DYNASTY, 17TH / 18TH CENTURY
of archaistic jue form with a āUā-shaped body supported on three cabriole feet, cast on one
side with a stylised dragon loop handle, the exterior of the body decorated with an intricate
leiwen ground and accented with a thin horizontal leiwen band, the rim, a spout and
rounded tail forming the rim, all surmounted by a pair of capped finials, patinated surface
of a reddish-brown tone
height 16.4 cm., 6 1/2 in.
