A BRONZE LIBATION VESSEL, JUE
YUAN DYNASTY

of archaistic jue form, cast with a ‘U’-shaped body supported on three splayed triangular
blade feet, cast on one side with a loop handle in the form of a sinuous scaly fish with a
spout and rounded tail forming the rim, all surmounted by a pair of vertical finials
terminating with cupola tips, the exterior with a smooth dark brown patina
width 11.5 cm., 4 1/2 in.
