QING DYNASTY (1644-1911)
The plaque is carved on one side with a
seated figure under a bare tree, the reverse
with a lengthy inscription referring to the
scene depicted, followed by a seal, Zigang,
all framed within a border of confronted
archaistic dragons, the stone of an even
white tone.

A WHITE JADE OVAL PLAQUE
QING DYNASTY (1644-1911)
The plaque is carved in low relief with a
flowering prunus branch which extends
over both sides. One side has a calligraphic
inscription signed Zigang. The stone is of
an even milky white tone.
