BLUE WITHIN A DOUBLE CIRCLE AND OF THE PERIOD
(1506-1521) PROVENANCE:
The bowl is decorated on the exterior with the with four large lotus Christie's New York, 25 March 1998, lot 183.
roundels below a narrow band of wan diaper, with a further lotus Christie's New York, 22 March 2007, lot 300.
medallion on the bottom of the interior within a double circle.
A very similar bowl is illustrated in The Complete Collection of
8¡ in. (21.3 cm.) diam.
