A RARE GILT BOWL
YONGZHENG SIX-CHARACTER MARK IN UNDERGLAZE BLUE
WITHIN A DOUBLE CIRCLE AND OF THE PERIOD (1723-1735)
The bowl with slightly rounded sides is raised on a short ring foot, and
is covered inside and out with lustrous gilding.

Acquired in the United States in the 1990s.
A gilt Yongzheng-marked cup, of similar shape, but of smaller size
(2¡ in. diam.), was sold at Christie’s Hong Kong, 26 September 1989,
