Two tortoiseshell-glazed bowls and one hare’s-fur-glazed bowl
Song Dynasty
Two Jizhou bowls each with a beige body and a spreading lip and
covered on the interior and halfway down the exterior with a black glaze
splashed with russet to give the effect of ‘tortoiseshell’, each 12.2cm (4
7/8in) diam.; the other Jian bowl with a grey body and a conical form
ending in a rib at the rim and covered on the interior and most of the
exterior with a glossy black glaze and delicate streaks of russet in the
‘hare’s-fur’ style, 11.5cm (4½in) diam. (3).
