4 | Bonhams A large green-glazed dish
14th century
Sturdily potted raised on a low foot, the interior
incised with a flower encircled by nine leaves in
the slightly domed well, surrounded by a lotus
flower and a peony of freely-scrolling foliate
branches, the flattened rim with two long
double lines curving around shorter wave-like
double lines, the exterior undecorated and all
covered with a rich green glaze.

A large green-glazed ‘basket-weave’ dish
14th century
The broad circular well incised with a repeating
square pattern to simulate basket-weave,
surrounded by leafy lotus scrolls around the rim,
the exterior undecorated, all covered in a thick
glaze of yellow-green hue.
