A Yaozhou carved ‘floral scroll’ green-glazed bowl
12th century
The gently flaring sides slightly lobed to form six petals, each petal on
the interior with a full blossom encircled by a foliate meander, the well
with three leaves each enclosing three petals amidst foliate scrolls, the
exterior carved with leafy flower-heads, fitted box.
17.5cm (6 7/8in) diam. (2).
