A pair of famille verte vases
19th century
Each vase boldly enamelled in mirror image with two horsemen with
hands clasped in supplication before them galloping away from a
mounted dignitary accompanied by an attendant holding up a parasol
as a fierce general and another soldier point lances at the fleeing
horsemen, the necks with five boys at play with a pennant and a
scholar’s cap.
