A rare green and russet jade four-lobed box and cover
Ming Dynasty
The jade with patches of bright russet staining and shaped with four lobes
raised on a low foot, the exterior carved with a lotus scroll on each lobe, the
cover with a raised central boss carved as a chrysanthemum with three rows
of overlapping petals, surrounded by two lotus blossoms on opposite lobes
each issuing from a leafy scroll.

A pale green jade bowl and cover
18th century
Finely hollowed from pale green stone, the bowl raised on a gently flaring
foot and rising to a stepped lip, the domed cover surmounted by circular
finial carved as a thickly twisted rope.
