A bronze tripod incense burner and
‘flower’ stand
18th century, cast Xuande seal mark and with
Guangxu eight-character inscriptions added
The incense burner with a squat body with a
rich reddish patina raised on three tapering feet
and with two slightly flaring loop handles, the
stand cast in the shape of three overlapping
petals raised on three ruyi-head feet.

The eight-character inscription is translated
as:
Respectfully dedicated in the 21st year of the
Guangxu reign

A partially-gilt rectangular incense
burner, fang ding
17th century
Solidly cast and decorated on each side with
a wide band containing a taotie mask on a
leiwen ground beneath a narrower band with
pairs of stylised dragons, all separated by low
flanges, raised on four straight legs cast with
stylised archaistic bands and lappets, the rim
with two upright handles on the narrow sides.
