A pair of painted enamel yellow-ground bowls and covers

376 | Bonhams Each bowl delicately enamelled with a continuous scene of two scholars
leaning on tall staffs gazing at a ferryman bearing two travellers across a river
as a flock of birds flies overhead, all set within a rocky landscape of pines and
distant mountains, the covers each with a scene of two houses in a rocky
landscape also enclosing a lake and two sail boats, each finial concealing a
roundel enamelled with a pink phoenix, the interiors enamelled a delicate
shade of pink. Each 10cm (4in) diam. (4).

A painted enamel pink-ground square vase, gu
Qianlong
The body enamelled with a delicate and detailed design of pink, purple and
blue double gourds amid flowers and foliate scrolls against a pink-ground,
between two rows of lappets, the foot similarly decorated between a row of
lappets and a further row of ruyi heads at the base, the neck also with the
same double-gourd pattern punctuated by bands of key-fret, the interior
of the neck painted with two sprays of fruiting peach and two floral sprays.
