A famille rose ‘butterfly’ bottle vase
Guangxu six-character mark and of the period
Enamelled and gilt with dainty butterflies scattered over
the bulbous body above stiff lappets at the foot and below
a band containing four gilt shou characters between two
peaches alternating with lotus amid foliate scrolls at the
shoulder, the neck similarly decorated with butterflies
beneath a band of ruyi-head at the rim, wood stand.
