Delicately enamelled with a lady in a blue-
sleeved robe carrying a scroll and leaning
towards two boys, one holding aloft an iron-
red lotus blossom and the other gesturing
with a brush in the right hand and an
ink stone in the left, beside a further lady
carrying a baby in long sleeves covering its
hands, all beside two stools and a table laid
with a flower vase, books, a fruit platter and
a teapot beside a jardinière planted with
miniature rockwork and grasses beneath an
iron-red moon.

A pair of famille verte baluster vases
Kangxi
Each delicately enamelled on the body in
green, blue, iron-red, grisaille and ochre with
a cartouche on each side, the two larger
each enclosing a Buddhist lion in a landscape
and the two smaller each with a water-bird
beside a lake, the flaring necks each with
floral sprays including tree peony flanked by
two handles decorated with floral sprays, the
lobed foot with flowering and budding lotus.
Each 29.2cm (11½in) high (2).
