Of upright rectangular form, with a flat lip and a concave oval Probably Imperial, Palace Workshops, Beijing, 1740-1800
depression at the foot, with white cloud-like inclusions within the grey Of compressed globular form with a waisted neck, carefully recessed
black matrix. lip, slightly splayed oval foot ring, expertly carved through the
2 1/8 (5.2cm) high transparent green overlay applied to the lemon-yellow ground with a
katydid inching along the branches of a Buddhist hand citron tree, the
US$4,000 - 6,000 reverse decorated with lingzhi plants springing from rocks.
