A spinach-green jade double-sided
‘peony spray’ circular table screen
Jiaqing/Daoguang
Carved in high relief on one side, with a large finely
detailed peony bloom and bud on elegant leafy
stems issuing from rockwork, with a small butterfly
in flight above, the reverse decorated with five bats
amidst swirling clouds, the stone of attractive darker
and lighter spinach green tones, ornately-carved
pierced wood stand.
