A RETICULATED JADE ‘DOUBLE DRAGON AND
PHOENIX’ PENDANT, HUANG
LATE WARRING STATES PERIOD, CIRCA 300-221 BC
The arc-shaped pendant is carved with a dragon's head on both ends with an upcurved
snout, almond-shaped eye and a s-shaped horn with their bodies intertwined at the centre
between an openwork flange with two addorsed phoenix above and a scroll border below.
The stone is of a pale greyish celadon tone with areas of alteration concentrated on one end.
