߯ A FINE INCISED AUBERGINE-GLAZED SAUCER DISH, ͣ A WHITE JADE 'PHOENIX' CIRCULAR PLAQUE,
འ ͤ ɽ MARK AND PERIOD OF YONGZHENG ɤ ͗ QING DYNASTY, 18TH CENTURY
͍ ഓ delicately potted with shallow rounded sides rising from a straight foot, finely incised on the exterior with six fruiting pomegranates ɞ ྠ the flat plaque with a slightly convex principal side, rendered with a phoenix curled up in a roundel, its body with finely incised plumage,
ཊ འ borne on a continuous undulating foliate scroll, applied overall with a translucent soft aubergine glaze of purplish-grey tone and ˰ ჾ the other side detailed with a smaller bird shown in profile, the smoothly polished stone of even white colour with a faint russet vein
ฮ ͍ displaying a slightly iridescent sheen, the white base inscribed with a six-character mark within a double circle ߏ भ to its tail
