A YELLOW-ENAMELLED BOWL
HONGZHI SIX-CHARACTER MARK IN UNDERGLAZE BLUE WITHIN A DOUBLE CIRCLE AND
OF THE PERIOD (1488-1505)
The bowl is thinly potted with rounded sides supported on a slightly tapering foot rising
to a lightly flared rim, covered inside and out with a yellow enamel of deep egg-yolk
colour. The base is covered with a clear glaze.
