AN IRON-SPOT-DECORATED LONGQUAN CELADON PEAR-SHAPED VASE
YUAN-EARLY MING DYNASTY, 14TH-15TH CENTURY
The pear-shaped body is carved with lotus scroll, above a band of upright petals. The neck is decorated
with upright plantain leaves and is fanked by a pair of fsh-form handles suspending fxed rings. It is
covered overall with a rich sea-green glaze with scattered iron-brown splashes.
