A GOLD AND SILVER-INLAID BRONZE JAR, ZHADOU
QING DYNASTY, 18TH CENTURY

The slightly compressed globular body is vibrantly decorated in silver and gold inlay with
archaistic taotie masks, below further masks on the neck. The base is inscribed in gold inlay
with an apocryphal Xuande three-character mark.
