PROVENANCE
Y.F. Yang, Hong Kong, 18th August 1972 (HK$10,000).
A closely related Yangzhou glass snuff bottle of similar
colour scheme, but decorated with Buddhist lions, illustrated
in Hugh Moss, Victor Graham and Ka Bo Tsang, A Treasury
of Chinese Snuff Bottles: The Mary and George Bloch
Collection, vol. 5, Hong Kong, 2002, no. 1013, was sold in
these rooms, 1st June 2015, lot 155. Another decorated with
fisherman in a landscape from the collection of Robert and
Maurine Muntz was sold in our New York rooms, 13th/14th
September 2016, lot 220.

Y.F. Yang, Hong Kong, 18th September 1969 (HK$4,500).
A blue-ground enamelled snuff bottle from the Qing court
collection, less elaborately enamelled with a design of
chrysanthemum and orchids, but with the same distinct
guyue xuan mark, from the Qing court collection and still in
Beijing, illustrated in The Complete Collection of Treasures of
the Palace Museum. Snuff Bottles, Hong Kong, 2003, pl. 23.
