AN AMBER PEACH-FORM SNUFF BOTTLE
QING DYNASTY, 18TH CENTURY

Y.F. Yang, Hong Kong, 19th October 1971 (HK$1,400).
This superb amber snuff bottle epitomises the apex of
quality produced at the palace workshops in the 18th
century. For a smaller example carved with five bats, see
Hugh Moss, Victor Graham and Ka Bo Tsang, A Treasury of
Chinese Snuff Bottles: The Mary and George Bloch Collection,
Vol, 7, Hong Kong, 2009, no. 1590. Another amber peach-
form snuff bottle from the Edward T. Chow collection was
sold in these rooms, 27th May 2014, lot 123.
