A SUPERB LARGE SPINACH-GREEN JADE FIGURE OF AN A very similar, but slightly larger spinach-green jade elephant on a French
ELEPHANT ormolu base, from the estate of Empress Friedrich, Schloss Friedrichshof,
QIANLONG PERIOD (1736-1795) was included in the exhibition, Chinese Jade, Spink & Son, London, 1998, 23.
The elephant is well carved from a large boulder of rich green color and shown A mottled grey, black and green jade elephant, Qianlong period, of similar
standing foursquare, with the trunk curled onto the right foreleg and enclosed style and posture, from the collection of Oscar Raphael is illustrated by
